Educational qualification required
Applicants need to possess minimum educational qualification. The applicants should have passed the 12th standard examination or relevant one. Applicants having general graduation or science degree accordingly will be preferred.
No of vacancy : 3307 (including male and female) posts.
Age limit
Eligible candidates should be lying between the ages of 21 years to 27 years as on 01.07.2016 and (01.07.2015 also).
Pay role
Finally selected candidates will be getting a fixed pay role respectively as following:
Sub Inspector (Male) :- Rs. 9300-34,800 Grade Pay Rs. 4200/-
Sub Inspector (Female) :- Rs. 9300-34,800 Grade Pay Rs. 4200/-

UP Police SI Recruitment 2016 Exam Pattern
The 3 steps recruitment procedure are as follows:
1st step: Online written test.
2nd step: Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
3rd Step : Document Verification & Physical Measurement Test (PMT).
Physical Efficiency & Measurement Test :
Race– For Male 4.8 Km. in 28 Minutes. and for Female Candidates 2.4 Km. in 16 Minutes.
Height- For Male- 168 cm. (160 cm Only for ST Category). and for Female Candidates- 152 cm. (147 cm Only for ST Category).
Chest (Only for Male)- 79 cm. and 77 cm only for ST Category
