According to the new guidelines, the income tax return can now be submitted until March 15. The Central Council for Direct Taxes (CBDT) has been informed that the income tax filing date for fiscal year 2021-22 has been extended to March 15, 2022. Earlier, it was given until December 31 to file an ITR.

The CBDT has been informed that due to the difficulties faced by taxpayers due to the coronavirus epidemic, the ITR filing date has been extended again. The notice issued by the CBDT also stated that the deadline has also been extended due to the problem encountered in submitting various audit reports electronically in accordance with the provisions of the Income Tax Act of 1961.
